【研究】1. be expected to do で「～すると思われる[予想される]」を意味します。2. これは It is expected that...でも書き換え可能なので、上記の例では、It is expected that he manufacturing sector will decline to 16.9 percent of total wage and salary employment. と書き換え可能です。こちらの方が少し硬い表現になります。
