【研究】catch A in one's mouth で「口で A (食べ物など)を受け止める」の意味になります。Wisdom 英和には「toss a peanut in the air and catch it in one's mouth (ピーナッツを空中に放り投げて口の中に入れる)」の用例も載っています。
