A not more than B の用法

本日は A not more than B の用法です。これは B の部分に「数詞 (相当語句)」が来て「多くて~だ」あるいは「せいぜい~だ」などを意味します。本日はこの点について解説しましょう。
A not more than B は、A ≦ B (A 小なりイコール B) を意味しています。解釈的には「A は最大で B」あるいは「A はマックス B」と考えると分かりやすいでしょう。
・The distance between two cities A and B is not more than 300 km. (A 市 と B 市 の距離は最大で 300 km 離れています。)
